Little Bee was established in 2010 to instill a love for learning in young children. As we dive into the world through the lens of our students, we share their enthusiasm and excitement upon new discoveries. From the beginning, the school community proved to be a responsive and supportive presence that mirrors the diversity of San Francisco. With our intentional curriculum and interactive method, our school provides a variety of customized learning experiences necessary for each student.

Our Mission

At Little Bee, children are encouraged and taught to make discoveries through curiosity, experimentation, and free play. These personal discoveries drive their engagement on the daily outings with the help of our nurturing and experienced team of educators. It is our mission to nurture our children's innate curiosity and to help them come to creative solutions with an appreciation for the diversity of people, places, and thoughts. We are raising global citizens through our inclusive curriculum, local community presence, nature outings, and rich cultural heritage of our school community. Through a unique blend of Montessori and Reggio-Emilia approaches, we are able to individualize the curriculum to best match the needs of our current students. Our kids build courage, resilience, and critical thinking skills right before our eyes, and it is our mission to further their curiosity in learning.

Our Locations

Little Bee has two campuses located INSIDE and NEXT TO Park Presidio. Both sites host daily outings to explore nature, breathe fresh air, and learn through natural curiosity! So many learning opportunities await us in both in nature and in the classroom!

Our Presidio campus has 2 toddler classrooms, 2 preschool classrooms, walls lined with vertical play activities, a sensory room, and an art room!
